Internship at Buro Lubbers

Buro Lubbers is a design studio for landscape architecture, urban development and the design of public space. Since 1993 the studio has been designing projects at all scale levels, for both private and public commissioners. The studio’s projects are characterized by a multi-disciplinary approach, innovative expertise, sharp analysis, a sturdy and poetic expression and a critical eye for detail. An enthusiastic team takes care of a total product, from research to preservation.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an intern.

As intern at Buro Lubbers you work with different scale levels and diverse assignments. You are part of a dynamic design team and get the opportunity to individually work out a (partial) design.


  • You are currently receiving an education in landscape architecture or urban design
  • You are ambitious and informed of the latest developments within the discipline
  • You have an analytical thinking- and design ability and an affinity with landscape urbanism
  • You master the Dutch language
  • You have practical knowledge of Indesign, Photoshop, Autocad, and Illustrator

We offer you a position with multi-faceted substantive design assignments, responsibilities within an ambitious team and an informal working environment. The job concerns a minimum of 32 hours per week from August/September for the duration of at least four months.

Are you an Urbanism or (Technical) Design student looking to gain work experience at a sustainable, international office? Then we are looking for you!

We ask:

  • A third year bachelor or master student in urbanism, (technical) design or a comparable study.
  • An excellent command of English, good communicative skills in Dutch are a plus.
  • Experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), experience with is QGisand/or AutoCad is a bonus.
  • A drive to work on the city of the future.
  • You are enthusiastic, independent, and take initiative, but do not hesitate to ask for help.

We offer:

  • A contract for 32-40 hours per week for a period of 4-6 months.
